HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT

Workplace Health and Safety

Central Crane Services is committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace for its workers and the general public.

Whilst we strive to provide the best service possible, nothing comes before the safety of our workers, clients and the general public.  As such, we are committed to providing a zero harm work environment for all those who come into contact with us.

We aim to be proactive in all aspects of health and safety with an emphasis on preventing incidents before they occur.

Lift planning and site inspections are also essential, and our highly skilled team is well equipped to accommodate even the most complicated lift.

Our crane operators and dogmen are all fully qualified and have many years experience in the industry.  We ensure that we accurately and diligently identify potential hazards, assess risks and provide a SWMS regarding crane hire.

Central Crane Service is a member of the Crane Industry Council of Australia (CICA).  As a member we are required to undertake an annual "Cranesafe" inspection for each machine in our fleet.  To prove that the cranes have passed their annual checks they are provided with a ‘green sticker’ for your peace of mind.

Our Workplace Health & Safety Management Plan is very comprehensive.  The Plan remains a working document and subject to updates as and when required, to keep up-to-date with the constantly changing regulations and customer needs.

Environment

Central Crane Services recognises environmental protection as a key part of our business performance.  We take care to protect and preserve the environment and believe that this is an important contribution to future generations.  As such, we are committed to using sustainable environmental practices and strive, at a minimum, to comply with all relevant environmental legislation.

Our commitment to minimizing the impact of our operations on the environment includes:

  • Making environmental considerations an integral part of our planning process.
  • Training, educating and informing our workers about environmental issues that may affect their work.
  • Purchase and use environmentally responsible products.
  • Develop and maintain appropriate emergency and spill response programs.
